I had a dream about Tumblr last night...
…and you and you and you were there!
I hopped in my car for the short drive (lol) to NYC from Austin, arriving at an apartment filled with Tumblr users about an hour and a half later. A group of us stood around in the kitchen using our cell phones to post to Twitter about my exciting arrival in the city because we are that awesome.
There were many Tumblrees in the dream, but I only remember a few specifically. Ronen, being the only person from this website whom I’ve met, was the most prominent participant. I kept having to tell myself how to pronounce his name. His delightful red Jew fro was extra shiny in my dreamworld and lovely to play with. I think we may have been flirting.
Julia Allison came tumbling through the front door at one point to strike a pose with her mouth gaping open in that smile of hers. I asked her if she remembered me, the girl she exchanged a few emails with and whose cell phone she once left a message on telling me “not to post that video I took of her at the festival” becuase she thought I was someone else. (I am not kidding, that really happened.) She played off her not remembering and trotted back out the door in a flourish.
Jessica, who sadly has unfollowed me even though I adore her, was in the corner ranting awesome rants about men and women.
Now this is my favorite part. A very attractive man whom I *think* was gooneruk (from looking through the list of peeps I follow) approached me for some small talk. He wasn’t from England in the dream, he was New York all the way. After, seriously, one minute of talking, he said, “So do you want to go have sex or are you cool.” I declined, but distinctly remember thinking “Damn, these New Yorkers don’t waste any time. I’m glad things are slower where I’m from.”
THE END.
Wow. I had a dream about tumblr last night too, and I was going to write a post about knowing you blog wayyyy too much when you start dreaming about it. Then I thought about starting a tumblr for people to submit their dreams about tumblr. Then I was a little embarrassed that those were my first thoughts of the day! My was way less interesting and, thank goodness, JA wasn’t there. But it’s good to know I’m not the only one who has tumblrs sneaking into her subconscious!
