Thrown with Great Force
Welcome to the dumping ground for all my random thoughts and strokes of genius. Tread carefully.
P.S. The title comes from a Dorothy Parker quote. "This is not a novel to be tossed lightly aside. It should be thrown with great force."
Replace "novel" with just about anything else and you've got yourself some damn good words to live by.

We have to change the culture of America
to what, John McCain? To the culture we used to have of female subordination and back alley abortions?

Roe v. Wade
It means so much to me that I seriously teared up listening to Sen. Obama’s reasoning on whether he’d nominate a Supreme Court justice who didn’t support the decision. And I fucking want to punch John McCain. Hard. In the area where he supposedly has balls. 5 minutes agoSmile, pretty.
Obama: Smiles widely whenever McCain makes an outlandish accusation about his opponent.
McCain: Smirks uncomfortably whenever Obama reasonably contradicts him, and smirks proudly at the end of pretty much all of his answers, whether they answered anything or not.
14 minutes agoDoes anyone else think that McCain comes off as a selfish, spoiled child?

Yes. I do love a wealthy, white man who portrays himself as a victim.
'Porno' proves to be tough sell in movie's ads - Movies- msnbc.com
Rina Cutler, Philadelphia deputy mayor for transportation, said the stick-figure posters were cute and clever but unacceptable for bus shelters where schoolchildren would see the word “porno.”
“If they want to call the movie ‘Zack and Miri,’ that’s fine, but Zack and Miri cannot make a porno on my bus shelters,” Cutler said.
Lol.
6 hours agoJohn McCain on Meet the Press, 1/30/00....excerpts in video below
- Tim Russert: A Constitutional Amendment to ban all abortions?
- John McCain: Yes Sir.
- Russert: But, Senator, women across the country would say, prior to Roe v. Wade, hundreds of thousands of women a year went to back alleys to have abortions.
- McCain: I understand that.
- Russert: Many died.
- McCain: I understand that.
