Go solo! Love living the single life -... →
The writing in this piece is so casual and fun, it makes me want to cut out of the office now and go indulge in a fun lunch followed by a completely unnecessary shopping spree.
Also, I agree with pretty much everything they say and have already followed (or made plans to follow) all their advice, which makes me feel even better about myself this morning. Yay! Happy Friday!
Weddings Make People Craaaaaaazy
Watching the Friends episode where Ross and Emily get engaged after 6 weeks and are planning to get married a month later, and Monica and Phoebe dress up in wedding gowns and throw bouquets to each other and Rachel proposes to the guy she went out with 4 times and it’s insane on tv but I feel like it’s not entirely out of the realm of possibility for stuff like that to Actually Happen....

“Capricorn women have a cool, standoffish charm. Elegant and glacial, they may seem unapproachable…Capricorns’ biggest problem is confidence. They always worry that a love interest will prove faithless. Capricorns respond well to domestic life because it provides stability.”
Everything else it says about me is pretty much wrong. Boo.

I came to an obvious realization last night - I would much rather feel the way I do when I wake up when I go to bed and vice versa. I’m usually in a restless state when I get into bed and could easily perk up and start the day, but weekday mornings I lay in bed and it takes all the strength I have to remove myself out from under the warm, comfy sheets.
Seriously, I think waking up...

This piece is all about how colleges try to get the friends and teammates of top recruits in order to land the top recruits. Link reblogged b/c one of the experts quoted is named “Lemming.” Very apt.
Addendum to previous post: Just looked in the mirror and I look like poo, and my body’s feeling a bit weak, like it’s spending all its energy on not getting too sick and has very little left for pushups. Instead of being frustrated, I’m assuming that my car doors being frozen shut, paired w/ the late opening at work today, were maybe the universe’s way of telling me:...
Rise and Shine
It’s 6:05 a.m. I got up half an hour ago so I could make it to my 6 am workout class. I’m a little under the weather, and there’s a late opening at work, but I prefer to get an early start on my day and get my gym time in when it’s not so crowded you can’t even move. Plus, I didn’t sleep that well anyway b/c of the cold, and yesterday the only time I felt good...

I’d really love to know why there were footprints that weren’t mine coming down my stairs and through my yard when I got home…..Actually, no, I really don’t.
Motivation
I happened to miss last week’s Friday Night Lights (I know, *gasp*) and while you can watch full episodes online, the internet at my apartment is too slow. As in it’s been loading the video for the last two days. Yeah. So I figured I’d have to watch it in the office if I wanted to be caught up for this Friday. I put it on my computer in the background and I swear I got more done...
If I ever try to date a guy who wants to go to couples yoga, please shake me really really hard until my brain straightens itself out again. Kthnx
JUST TURN OFF THE LIGHT
maryrambin:
For the last two night, I have been perched up typing away in bed when Andy crawls in and wants to go to sleep….at 11pm!
I can’t remember the last time I closed my eyes before 12. The reason could be work, catching up on missed episodes of 24, reading blogs, whatever. If the clock hasn’t struck 12 (or 2) I think I can squeeze more into the day.
But since I am a guest, I turn my...

My Life Is One Big Dance Party
…ever since I started listening to my favorite radio station online in my apartment. My shower this evening got postponed three times because another song came on that I just HAD to dance to. Dear Immune System,
You suck. I know I’m fortunate to have you in my life, but it would really be awesome if you could not take vacations every January, cuz I kinda need ya. I mean, I’d love to go away and relax every January too, but it’s simply not an option, and my job is way less important than yours. Plus, vacations are so last year. Could you maybe think about doing the whole staycation thing...
All for Nothin
As previously noted, I got up in time to be at the gym for a 6 am workout class today, solely because I can’t cope with the staggering numbers of people who are in there after work, workin on their resolutions. The plan was to take the class, swim a few laps, and be done for the day but, as happens so often in my life, I couldn’t drag myself to the pool. In my defense, it was really...

If you love someone, tell them so. Tell them everyday. Life is too unpredictable to let things such as this go unsaid. People leave, people die, and people move on. I have a friend from college who I haven’t seen in almost 2 years. We usually talk every week or so but for the past month he and I have been playing phone tag. Just got off of an hour long phone call with him and it made me realize, although we don’t see each other often, he is one of my best friends.
